Working for all the residents all the year round Learn more

It’s such a shame that the Labour Council has just completely ignored the areas put forwards by local residents for neighbourhood plans and drawn their own boundaries instead. It’s a classic ‘we know best’ decision in which they say that the neighbourhoods where residents say they live are not ‘coherent’. Sounds patronising and I don’t think central town hall decisions should dictate planning areas.
Opposition councillors have requested that the cabinet decision is ‘called-in’ which means they look again at it. We’ll have to see whether they ignore us as much as they do residents!
